Fine Art
Every Fine Art series I create tells something about my own journey. Personal experiences are the source of my images.
Between Here and Evermore
Between Here and Evermore explores the quiet, often invisible emotions that arise after the loss of a child. The series is rooted in Marieta Landkroon’s own experience with pregnancy loss, and in the recognition that emerged as other women shared their stories with her.
Nine women are portrayed with an object that holds their connection to their child: a stuffed animal, a piece of jewelry, a butterfly. These objects serve as symbolic anchors of remembrance, where love and grief coexist. The images show how loss does not disappear, but instead weaves itself into the life that continues.
Between Here and Evermore is a quiet tribute to vulnerability, resilience, and the lasting presence of children who are no longer physically in the world, yet continue to live on in memory.
Between Shadow and Spotlight
Between Shadow and Spotlight, is an ode to artists. To their courage to reveal themselves, their strength in holding up a mirror to us, and their ability to open an (inner) dialogue that allows us all to grow. But above all, they let us enjoy the beauty and magic they share with us. A series that not only looks at the spotlight, but especially at the life behind it. It is an ongoing project that continuously adds new layers and stories.
